Nothing complicated about this, D.R. would point to a spot and a stake was driven, then a couple of ropes pulled out of the back of the truck, tied off and away it went.
When the back spool was emptied a second stake was driven and the other half rolled off.
After the canvas had been spread out both halves were laced together the ropes thrown out and a stake driver drove stakes in the general vicinity of the rope.
Just before all the stakes were driven, three elephants were already under the front end of he tent going up with the quarter poles.
The man in the white hat is big top boss Pete Smith a former Army buddy of D.R.'s who as far as I know never saw any other show.
