Not only was this the first but I believe also the last time the Ringling show played MSG.

One year early in the Ringling ownership years they had Barnum & Bailey open at the Chicago Coliseum on South Wabash and the Ringling show open in New York.

Not too bright an idea and not repeated. No one in New York had ever heard of the boys from Baraboo.
