James Bros. 1967

Having just returned to quarters after seeing Hugo's "Kernaudi" do this trick, I immediately scrounged around for some boards and blocks then started this duplication that eventually concluded with a one-foot stand atop the pedestal.

Sid Kellner had already named his three new elephants "Suzie" (that's her in the picture) "Lovie" and "Jackie".
Never realizing that 10 years later we would reunited at the Ringling Park where their names immediately became "Sid", "Louie" and "Juno".
As far as I know they still remain under Ringling ownership.
It has often occurred to me that I have been blessed by my choice in employers D.R. Miller, Louie Stern, Sid Kellner, Irvin Feld, Kenneth Feld and Paul Binder who needless to say.....never missed a pay day!

Regarding shows that always made the payroll, I forgot to mention Cedric Walker who we worked for the final years before retiring the elephants.
I might add that in all the time there I only met him three or four times since he was always ahead of the show, his wife Cynthia ran things.
