Dang. I just gave a talk on circus today. I would have included this — a typical circus act? — if this had come only ONE day earlier.
I met you once, way in the beginning of my time as billposter for Hoxie Bros Circus.
I worked out of van with R. Lloyd Johnston, PR guy for 6 years during the 1970's, much of the time as a good friend and ally of Jim Hodges, the arrowman, until he died.
My reason for contacting you is that I have contact sheets (remember them?) and negatives of this time period on the show.
Are you interested in in random memorabilia of this time period, including the Herriots, the Haines City winterquarters, and some shots of the herd at that time?
There must be a home for this time period in circus history, I don't want for these items to be lost.
