I snapped this picture of "Big Babe" from the vestibule of the coach as we were pulling out of quarters in 1957 headed for the Garden.
I later heard she died a few weeks later.
My Dad once told me that she was the first elephant he ever rode, while working for Cheerful on the Barnes Show in 1923.
