Welcome to Buckles Blog. This site is for the discussion of Circus History all over the world.
Isn't this the crossbow cannon built for Ringling some years back & maybe called "Ariadne" or some such thing
No, This is Brian Miser's crossbow that was previously used on Ringling.
Built by and flown by Brian Miser for "Fully Charged." Currently, he's spot dating with it.
Chic, you're thinking of Airiana, The Human Arrow from the 126th Edition. Just dug out the souvenir program the cover of which proclaimed..."EXCLUSIVE! THE ONLY PHOTOS YOU'LL SEE OF AIRIANA!" and also..."ONLY CHANCE THIS CENTURY!"
Isn't this the same machine or is it a fairly similar copy
And.. don't forget "Bailey's Comet" 133rd Edition.. 2003/04 klsdad
126th would have been Blue Show in 96 about 10 years after the terrible cannon accident Elvin had in Hong Kong but it seems that Elvin may have trained the girl (or boy) for the Airiana crossbow that may have been a decorative adaptation of the space shuttle cannon from 78 Which was used again later on
Maybe Bailey's Comet was yet another incarnation of it Would love to see a photo
Brian Miser has come up with some really innovative "canon acts"
