As a follow-up to the recent posting of a photo
showing Bonnie & Clyde’s bullet-riddled V-8 Ford, the original car is now on
display at Whiskey Pete’s Resort and Casino in Primm, Nevada (about 40 miles south of Las
Vegas.) Along with the car is a sizable
collection of letters and other items vouching for its authenticity. (In addition to the car used in the 1967
movie, at least 6 fake Bonnie & Clyde getaway cars are known to
exist.)

What a great car. I had one. It was a 1932 Model B v-8. After 31 ford quit making the Model A and the new Model B had it all. larger baloon tires, smaller rims, fast self starter, sleek body lines, etc. This was the first V8 and it was a bomb compared to the MA. All the bank robbers, etc. had them. they could out run all police vehicles. I swapped A 28 model A. this was in about 1949. I really enjoyed this Model B. Some were model BB. I can not recall the difference. I swapped my A and three bills for it. johnny
