Even after 88 years, the 1925 BEN-HUR chariot race remains thrilling because we know that it was done without special effects and real danger was involved in filming it. I read somewhere that a new remake of BEN-HUR starring Hugh Jackman is under consideration. If this ever comes about, the chariot race will, no doubt, be done using computer graphics, which will greatly minimize the danger and also the excitement.
