40 Years Ago! #3


.....going over this bridge was my main concern, it was the seven baby elephants first venture outside winter quarters since being delivered from Europe two years earlier

This is still known as the Circus

Bridge by some of us at the South

end of "The Island Of Venice"

In later years the bridge tender

was none other than Dick Brown

Alvin (Schwartzie) Schwartz was

the tender of the Hatchett Creek

bridge at the North end of Venice

I should be next to elephant 6 or 7 on that bridge over the intercoastal waterway..
