40 years ago! #13

.....so on a cold, windy February morning, this was the scene until I raised Hell and they hung sheets and more sheets of plastic wrapping around the front shed and hauled in a couple of space heaters.
Not an auspicious beginning.

I remember that all of it transpired due to your sheer determination and you succeeded. Irvin didn't even know what your plans were. All that time in that awful sand trap in haines city. Amazing story. And that ended up being the finest three ring display of elephants in circus history. sincerely johnny

Kind words indeed!
But as my wife points out, "After six years, we left the show with less money than when we arrived."
Then adds, "We are still spending the Big Apple money!.

Thank you John. How true. I believe my husband pulled off a miracle. I know I do mention the money. But Buckles left out the part that I do tell him all the time that he made "CIRCUS HISTORY", and how proud I am of him. Also I know that most of the people don't know that when Buckles and his guys were putting the three rings of all the bulls doing everything at the same time, he only had one ring to do this in. Until we got to Venice. John you know how hard that is. I am so proud of my husband.....AND THE SUCCESS we had due to his training there. Made it possible for all future business negotiations. Thank you and everyone for the recognition you have given Buckles & family. It is greatly appreciated. And John you certainly were no slouch. You and your family have made your mark on this business.....Barbara....
