Bailey Bros. baby elephants shortly after being imported winter of 1946-47.
At left are "Shirley" and "Mike" who died not long after this picture was taken and a second baby was added also named "Mike" as seen in the previous picture.
By their condition on arrival it's remarkable any survived.
