Murray Hill's legal surname was Seidon.

Murray Hill is an area in New York City whose telephone exchange was well known. In the old days your phone number might have been MU4-0000, which meant Murray Hill 4.... That indicated that you lived in the Murray Hill part of NYC.

It was one of the phrases that stuck in your head like Spiegel, the Chicago catalog retailer who provided many of the prizes for tv game shows.

The tv announcer would congratulate the winner with an item from Spiegel's Chicago six-o-six-0-nine. (Chicago 60609).

Obviously the Murray Hill telephone exchange went the way of the 10 cent pay phones.
