Pat's Painted Ponies #4



Over the course of two days, she worked on one of our horses while people watched from the sidewalk.

As I recall, we were the only participants in this event who actually had original old carousel horses on display. As a result, we ended up finding buyers for all but one of our horses, and that one we had been planning to keep for ourselves all along.

Among the many people who observed Pat at her work was a homeless guy who never spoke but who gave forth with childish expressions of delight while watching the horse being painted. At the end of the day, he left Pat what was probably for him, a very generous “tip” in the form of two perfectly good cigarettes!
