When the deal was made to frame the Miller-Woodcock elephant act in 1951, an order for three baby elephants was placed with Trefflich and after their arrival they were quartered in the NY Central Park Zoo.
My father flew up there only to discover that one had a crippled hind leg so he only accepted the other two which he named "Fanny" and "Lydia" (named after Obert Miller's wife).
