That circle was a revolve that
changed
from the graphic logo to this lion
Note the safety chain on the right
My friend Dave (among others) will
likely miss seeing the lion
altogether.

A mere 40 years ago (spring 74)
I was sent out there during the
installation to work on the very
elaborately rigged "Austrian"
full circular revolving flying
drape that was in such a state
of confusing spaghetti cabling
that they couldn't get to work
Once again my dumb luck held out
This was when Sigfried & Roy were
brought from the "Lido" show at
the Stardust (also by Donn Arden)
to the MGM Grand
I was offered the job to handle "Leo" back in early 73 before I came to Winter Quarters to work for Dr Henderson...
