Most of us, however, are familiar with The Chariot Race from its having being adapted for this famous Ringling poster . . .

According to the book 100 YEARS OF CIRCUS POSTERS, this poster was first produced by the Strobridge Litho. Company in 1916. Versions as large as 16 sheets were printed and, according to Strobridge shipping lists, 6 of these 16-sheet versions would be put up every day! No need to use the Ben-Hur name to endorse this product!

This revised version with “Barnum and Bailey” and “The Greatest Show on Earth” added was first produced in 1925.
