My all-time favorite light-up jukebox is the Wurlitzer Model 600 from 1938-39. Since it is not as eagerly sought-after as some of the other Wurlitzer models like the classic 1015, a Model 600 machine can still be acquired at a fairly reasonable price. (They turn up on eBay from time to time, which is where I found my Model 600 jukebox.) The reason I’ve included it here is because its color scheme is in keeping with the holidays. |

Here’s a link to an original Model 600 jukebox that is currently listed on eBay for FAR LESS than the cost of a reproduction Model 1015:

"Gee Dad It's A Wurlitzer" seems
to ring in my ears looking at it
When I was a kid, we called these nickelodeons.
As Teresa Brewer used to say
"Put Another Nickel In"
We used to call them Juke Boxes
Or as Malanie used to say "They
Only Put In A Nickel & They Want
A Dollar Song"
Hear Teresa sing it
