Chic, To each his own, but I always personally liked elephant to elephant as opposed to one elephant. You will note the costume. This was during the "twilight" of his incredible career, when he was having issue with balance due to his illness. It may explain the additional spotters normally not used. The original teeter board elephant Nellie was replaced in I believe 83-84. Given GGW's longevity he seldom had the luxury of using one animal exclusively. The "prominent spotter taking a style" looks like Tyron Taylor.

Interesting that it took them 2
elephants to do what Ben did with
only 1 (except we all know that
it wasn't any old elephant)
Is that Buffy holding the target
steady & who is that prominent
spotter taking a style
These might be Siam & Putzi
I sure didn't remember that ring
curb paint scheme

Wade please don't take offense to
my abrasive manner as you know I
am an equal opportunuity offender
Although Gunther was an 1 of the
most deservedly recognized folk
of our industry & an incredibly
hard working & charming performer
I happen to know he didn't walk
on water (he walked on the rocks)
Credit where credit is due he
likely was responsible for the
sale of more ducats & show trash
than anyone else ever
Chic,
No offense, and I appreciate a good paper hang. Just trying to keep it real.
