Once I read Bradna's THE BIG TOP, as a boy, Codona became one of my top circus heroes. He had given Senator Harry Hertzberg a retired fly bar for his massive circus collection in San Antonio. During my later time there, someone had strung the bar above the lobby, but none of the degreed librarians knew what it was, and did not recognize Codona's name.
