They were n0ot interested in knowing "how it was done" He also had those stadium type seats that fit together and had to be bolted and were a headache on a hilly lot. We would jump [short jumps around LA and they would sytart setting up around six AM. no matinees on set up days and at doors time around seven PM Vargas would come to me and Rex to take our guys and go in to finish srettinjg nthr eseats so they could open doors/. On eatty Cole a hundred mile jump in, set up a six, do four and eight shows, tewar down and go another hundred to do it all obvetr again evetry fday for at leastnthirty weeks, and we had sft ball teams and played every day after set up. Johnny Pugh managed the Blue Room Bombers [working men] I managed the Kinkers, and Bill Webster the butchjers. Would would lay out a field and Schlarboum would bring a few musicians and some beer in a garbage can and play "take me out to nthe ballgame" befotre the game. johnny
