Today the Hugo Chamber of Commerce hosted the annual Welcome Home for the Hugo shows. A very pleasant occasion where Norberto Fusco was honored as Hugo Circus Person of the Year. |

How many shows are still based in
Hugo these days
In my days it was Kelly-Miller, Cole & Walters, Tex Carson and occasionally Stevens Bros. camped at the Fairgrounds.
I remember debates in the lobby of the Webb Hotel as to which show was best.
Usually it was....."Well, I suppose I'll be back with the Big Show!"
