A few weeks ago, Buckles posted some frame enlargements from I Married Adventure, the film version of Osa Johnson’s 1940 autobiography which describes the experiences she shared with her husband Martin while exploring and making documentary films in Africa and the Pacific Islands. As a follow-up, here are a few of the photos that appear in Osa’s book. This first image of Osa and a tame zebra was taken in 1921 on the couple’s first trip to Africa. |
