From Chic Silber

This is the Cutter Lamar (CGC 899)
I served proudly on this Patrol Craft Escort
although we never left the dock in Baltimore
After this shallow water service I taught at
the fire training center in Yorktown Virginia

CGTC Yorktown still going strong, Chic. Great place to have lunch overlooking the York River. If you're ever up this way, we'll do it!

Great access to the historical

triangle by way of the Colonial

Parkway (but federally patrolled)

including Colonial Williamsburg &

the Jamestown combined elements

When I was in the Coast Guard it

was still under the Treasury Dept

It became an original segment of

the Transportation Dept which is

now under Homeland Security

In my day the entire compliment

was the size of NYC police dept
