Besides the two scruffy little brats..Gayle La Joy is in the back with the glasses...Is that Peg Colburn in the middle?
I think that's Peggy Day holding the plaque and Peg Coburn directly behind her.
I could be wrong, a long time ago.
One of these kids wasn't paying attention when mom was giving style lessons. The other one was.
Also known through the years as Peggy Shepard, Peggy Porter and one other name I can not remember. She was a sweetheart and a great trouper. He father, Frank Shepard was seriously hurt doing swinging single traps and a somersault to a web. The web instead of hanging on the hook was hanging on the mouseing. He was crippled the rest of his life as he web just came straight down when his weight hit it. Jackie LeClaire
As Buckles noted, the other name was Peggy Day as it was Eldon Day to whom she was married. After his death she married a circus fan from the New Jersey area named Porter who lost his wife soon after they moved to Sarasota about 1973. Peggy was one of the participants I invited to participate in a program I produced when I was at the Smithsonian. She came up to demonstrate and explain the work of a circus costume maker. Wonderful lady!

Gad,I should have remembered Eldon Day and Peggy. Senior moment. But I am glad it was cleared up. In 1949 they had a float Midsummer Nights Dream with Charlot Bell as Titania, I was Oberon and Peggy was Puck. Jackie LeClaire
