Welcome to Buckles Blog. This site is for the discussion of Circus History all over the world.
What (& when) was the origin of the use of military officer's titles of rank & were there others besides Colonel & Captain utilized I like the title of Brigadier for our esteemed Blog Emperor although I'm fully aware of the Wizard that sits behind the curtain & of the Grand Empress that keeps all of the wheels on all of the wagons
Probably like a band leader being called "Professor".
Isn't it "Baron" Julius Von Uhl?Paul
"Duke" Ellington. "Count" Basie
Yes Paul there was also Prince Paul & Prince Bogino but I was asking about military titles & their origin in the circus
