Considering that Godfrey’s horse Goldie was unaccustomed to the circus’ many strange sights, sounds, and smells, he was remarkably calm and well-behaved throughout the broadcast. The music played for Arthur Godfrey’s specialty dressage number was “Little Brown Jug,” “Garry Owen,” “On the Beach at Waikiki,” and “La Cucaracha.”
