The footage obtained during the Johnsons’ 1933-1934 expedition was later used in their 1935 feature film BABOONA, which premiered at the Rialto Theater in New York City on January 22, 1935. (A few days earlier, it had been shown onboard an Eastern Air Lines passenger plane; the first sound movie ever shown in-flight.)
