It is Doc. Holland, a dentist and great circus clown fan. The other clown is I think some local made up. I will check it out. That was 1945, a web sitters costume for the aerial web number. There were quite a few first of may clowns at that time. Doc really treated all the clowns to dentist work and also gifts made from the gold from teeth he pulled. Yes, Chic, you are correct. Well, they needed a lot of web sitters, and I am sure a lot of them had very little training. Everyone sat web, including Lou Jacobs, and my father and any other performers they could get their hands on.. Yes, you can even talk today to girl web aerialist of that era and the will tell you, it was pretty tough with some of the sitters as they had no idea of performing techniques.
