Former acrobat turned clown, Al Maico demonstrates his flexibility, 1911.

JACKIE said...: Al Maico really dates way back. My Dad spoke a lot about him to me. Dad bought a the Bend Over Turk Gag from him which is still in my possession. The face, and original harness for the head and wig had been painted many, many times. It is paper mache over a heavy wire base. I did the gag at the Showfolks circus two years ago. JACKIE said...: No ,but I loaned that Turk to Kenny Dodd when he went up to Toledo with Jimmy Piehl for that show that you produced there. Remember?
