Put me down for one.

Better make it two so I'll still have one when I lose the first.

My 1st six years were spent on a

farm with my maternal grandfolks

Some of the best years of my life

Our party line phone number was

Eatontown 3 0446 W2 (what a waste

of precious memory cells)

Once I looked for my cellphone for days- until I was going to put my navy blue pants on and found it in the pocket. Duhhh!

Our phone was 3-3685-R. The R should tell you it was a party line. Others had the same number with different letters and different rings. Ours was two rings.

Once the lady next door caught me listening in. I was about 4 or 5 and was enjoying listening until suddenly she said, "Dave, hang up the phone."

Yup our was 2 short rings then

a longer ring & I learned that

many years later they could ring

each line in a party line alone

by using a different frequency

for each of them (but you could

still listen in until caught)
