Among the most show’s most remarkable presentations were those done by Jean Francois Pignon (and also his brother Frederic.) Their horses, numbering between 5 and 8, would perform a liberty drill without any form of tack or other equipment. Commands were given using only voice and body language. Someone once observed Jean leaving the stable area before a performance with five horses, none of them wearing tack. The horses would followed him without wavering or stopping to check out the other horses all the way through the stable lines and along the track to the main arena.
