These two lot scenes are representative of what my friend Werner Schmucker told me of European circuses. All equipment and living caravans are lined up in an orderly manner, whatever the lot conditions. The grounds are policed and are immaculate when the audience arrives. Some shows there even erect attractive fencing around the entire lot for an effective finishing touch that sets off the whole operation.
