The Gautiers #4

"Knowing that I collected stuff, one day in Venice Axel handed me this picture then took it back and wrote on the reverse side, "My mother and step-father (Count Bekatow) on Mills Bros. Circus 1954". His father was Louis Gautier a well known horse trainer who had died while with the Ringling Show. Hugo Schmitt was with Mills Bros. 1950-53 and would eventually take Axel under his wing five years or so later."
