I recently noticed on eBay a 1949 Cole Bros Season Pass signed by Edward "Eddie" McEuen, one of the owners of the show (and incidently one of the sources of Jimmy Edgar's bankroll when he had his Sparks show out). What caught my attention was that the pass had "No.1" printed on it. I dug out a 1949 Cole pass that I have had for years, signed by P A McGrath, trainmaster, and sure enough it was also "No. 1." I wonder if they printed all the passes that way, possibly to suggest to the recipient that he was special enough to rate the first season pass issued.
