The girl at R was known all her life as Ernestine, or Ernie, Clarke. She was born Laura Elizabeth Clarke, the daughter of Ernest Clarke of flying act triple-somersault fame, and Elizabeth Rebecca Hanneford. Ernestine was an almost expected segue from her father's renown, and she is buried as Elizabeth Ernestine Clarke Baer.
