For his Texaco Fire Chief radio show, the stage-trained Wynn insisted on having a live studio audience. Each program was done as an actual stage show, complete with visual bits to augment his written material. During these broadcasts he wore a colorful costume and a red fireman's helmet similar to the one shown here.
