My second year in Show Biz (Joe B. Webb Circus)my folks and I shared something like this.
During our sentencing at the Swap Shop a few years back in FT Lauderdale,I showed a copy of this same photo to George and he proceeded to read out some numbers to me, then he said that was the serial number of that truck. It was an International and you had to have that number for parts he stated and said he would never forget that. I think I wrote it on the back of the photo I have.
Up until Cornbinder became Navistar
Jimmy you could get any part with
that number anywhere in North or
South America (unheard of today)
Lucky if they keep parts for more
than a few years for anything now
Still have an old Loadstar cabover
straight job in the warehouse
But Jimmy with enough mosquito oil
you could watch those big drive in
screens all night long (what & give
up show business)
