Also daughter Gracie and Freddie. Over the years Freddie as a rider would work withy Mae Woth, Riffenachs, Guistino and was a house performer on Cole Bros. for many years where he clowned with Otto on the famous boxing bit. He was also waiter and cashier in the "pie car" on the train at night. A fine fellow.
Freddie was never a somersault rider but was very skilled in all aspects of classical bareback riding, so he could fit in quite well with riding acts that needed a supporting rider. His wife Mickey was accomplished as well in bareback riding. He was no doubt comfortable in what they did and probably didn't want the agravation of owning horses, getting people, etc. He was an excellent clown and when he went from Cole to RBBB he only clowned and he and Otto performed again their hilarious boxing gag. Nobody did it as well.
