The plot device of having a lion (and sometimes a tiger) escape appears in just about every old circus film you can think of: THE BIG CAGE, KING OF THE JUNGLE, CAGED FURY, RING OF FEAR, THE BIG CIRCUS, CIRCUS WORLD and, of course DeMille’s TGSOE.
