From Hal Guyon #1

Buckles,
Here are the two wagons I referred to that were on the Cetlin & Wilson carnival. I think the wagon the wagon with the elephants was later painted with tigers. I believe that the wagon was in Dorney Park in Allentown PA for a number of years with the tiger paintings. Someone please correct me if I`m wrong.

When I call to Book on a carnival that doesn't know me, They always ask what I have...When I say a "Sideshow" sometimes they ask "Why are you calling us?" to which I reply "Cause Cetlin & Wilson and The World of Mirth are out of Business"...usually gets a Chuckle...

Two great old shows I remember very well Jim. I grew up in Columbia, SC and World of Mirth played The State Fair here for years. I`ll never forget the sight of those orange and later Red, White, & Blue Stripped wagons. Cetlin & Wilson played Florence SC for a long time and even wintered there. My Dad & I would drive the 70 miles over there and watch them unload the train then go back the next weekend for the Fair. Last time I saw Cetlin & Wilson was 1968 when they came to Columbia under the Gooding Million Dollar Midways title for the State Fair. They left Columbia for The Coastal Empire Fair in Savannah, GA where they made their last stand.
