I never heard the word "didoe" before. Am I, dare I ask, alone in this regard?

I remember the De Waynes,and of course, Mark Anthony, Dorothy Herbert and idol of mine all through my youth, Richard Shipley Melongo Cline, Bobby Kay, Frank Cain, and Milton Hinkile only if he was called "Shorty". Lots of nastalgia here.
