I just noticed this is for their debut date at the Coliseum on South Wabash. That was an old traditional circus venue but they just played it one year- 1935.
Thereafter they opened at the Stadium out west of town and that's where Arthur Wirtz was first involved with the show.
As a child in the middle 30's it was always so exciting to go to the kiddie monrning show on Saturdays in the movies. and see his serials on the screen. I bleive there were 15 of them in the series. Every one left you spellboung wondering if that lion or tiger would really get him. What a star his was in his time and of course a great performer and SHOWMAN in the ring through out his career.
