Ranch Babe #1



I think this is the best remembered "Babe".

The last kind of starring role for ranch herd Babe was in the movie "Jupiters Darling" where she was the lead elephant and all the scenes with "Hannibal" [Howard Keel] in the beautiful houdi are Babe. She was great in all aspects of the filming. She then got bad stiff leg and had to bow out.Johnny

This is the Babe that Paul Kelly staged the funeral for and called in the press to cover it.

She's buried there at the Kelly farm in Peru.
