The Robbins were some of the flyers

at Circus World in the 70s

The Flying Robins, Circus World 1982 - 1986. One of the BEST flying acts I ever saw. Tom Edelston and his wife Linda came out of Sailor Circus in Sarasota. Tom taught me how to take flying act photos almost 30 years ago.

As the folks in Gibsonton would say

"They certainly do Flash The Joint"

Thanks for the corrections Jimmy

I believe that Tom's father is Willy

If you mean Willy Robin, I met him when he was flying on Gil Gray, in the late '50s. Their outdoor rigging was still the standard 40 feet, where a flying act looks like something. In '57, when Concello's indoor frames were hung at 30 feet, as pointed out to me by Eddie Ward, Jr., that "something" began to fade.

I know him as Willy Edelstein Roger

Perhaps he flew under that name

During my time on the shows the

frames were trimmed at 32'6" (when

that was possible)

In many of the larger buildings the

outriggers & spreaders were higher
