Relating to Patrick's Recitital I listened on the edge of my chair and felt nervouse for him, really. I bought a Csio home chord organ about a year ago, and have been trying to lean to play in my apartment with dear phones, so the sound does not disturb the neighbors. I have learned a few tunes, but would be petrified to have to play them in front of an audience and just empathized with him on every note. I had a sign of relief when he finished and played so well. My congradulations to him. I wish I had started at a young age like he is. He will be so happy one day that he did. Does any one want to hear the Swannee River? I can play it in severl tempos with the chord organ. I have not had any requests, and my heart when out to Patrick when he played. Thanks for putting that on your Blog Buckles, it had inspired me. See you at Carnegie Hall! Jackie
When we bought "Amy" in 1992 she came with one of those small, flat pianos that she would tap on. We used it for a while at Catskill Game Farm and it got a giggle but she outgrew the thing and it just laid around. Some years later Pat, just a little kid, wanted to know if he could have it. Thus it all began.
My parents always told me that one day I would regret their not making me stick with my piano lessons. They were right. Fine job Patrick, every good wish,
