LOOK WHAT CHIC IS UP TO THESE DAYS

Pippin has set design by Tony Award-winning designer Scott Pask, costume design by Dominique Lemieux, lighting design by Tony Award-winning designer Kenneth Posner, sound design by Tony Award winner Clive Goodwin, illusions by Paul Kieve, fire effects by CHIC SILBER and flying effects by ZFX, Inc.

A whimsical coming-of-age story about the son of the first Holy Roman Emperor, "Pippin" boasts pop-rock music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Roger O. Hirson. Schwartz's other hits include "Wicked" and "Godspell."
"Pippin" opened in 1972 under the direction of Bob Fosse and ran for five years, winning five Tonys. It became a favorite with schools, summer stocks and community theaters across the country.
Performances on Broadway begin March 23 at the Music Box Theatre.

Many thanks for hanging my paper

We had a terrific Dress Rehearsal

last night (which is a bad omen)

Tonight is our 1st Preview at FULL

prices (which are high)

I'll send a note with a few photos

"Pippin" becomes the 4th of the

Stephen Schwartz musicals I have

done special effects for including

"Working" "Godspell" & "Wicked"

Our official opening night will be

April 25 so many changes could come

Now I'm off to the Music Box for

an afternoon work call

By the audience reaction tonight you

might have thought we had paid this

straw house to come instead of them

paying FULL price & my dumb luck has

held true 1 more time as we not only

created a tremendous fire in a big

barrel but we also were able to put

it out as well (more difficult)

Congratulations Chic!

Here's hoping for a long run!

(I hope it's not a bad omen to say that; I figured that 'break a leg' should only be said by people in the business, or it's bad luck)
