Answer to yesterday's quiz!

I'm surprised that no one recognized Joe Colby in this yesterday's blog standing in the Carson & Barnes marquee. I lifted this picture from the 1957 Kelly-Miller route book. The last time I saw Joe was when we were playing LA with the Blue Show in 1978. He and Smokey had been at the Race Track all afternoon and Smokey said, "Hey Joe, tell Buckles what happened today!" He said, "I finally picked  a good horse, I was screaming and hollering but he faded on the home stretch and in my excitement I got whizzed for my block!" In translation means someone stole his wrist watch. Smokey was laughing so hard he had to sit down.
