Mr. Woodcock, Maybe some of the Blog followers already heard about the two Circus Pinder's Asian Elephants Baby and Nepal that actually live at the Parc de la Tête d'Or in Lyon, France. These two animals are under quarantine since several months after some doubtful tests have revealed that one or maybe both of them are positive to tuberculosis. Just before Christmas, the prefecture of the city of Lyon made the surprising and very rushing decision that these two Elephants in their 40's have to be euthanize because of the risks concerning public health. Gilbert Edelstein, owner of the Circus Pinder is now trying to challenge the authorities decision to save his Elephants and have them treated if some more accurate TB tests prove that these animals really carry this disease. I know that Circus profesionals and fans already have alot to do in the US fighting the most sensless bills in cities and counties that try to ban animals and specially Elephants from traveling shows and fairs but it will be greatly appreciated if many of you can take just one minute to sign the petition to try to save Baby and Nepal's lives.
