As I understand it, today (Jan. 23) would be Rex’s 86th Birthday.
Those were good times Jim thanks The 2 followspots that were on the side of the arena facing the front track were operated by 2 of my 4 brothers at that time & I was on the back side where I also had the control of lighting & sound as well as operating 1 of the 4 spots That opening date each year often included snow during Easter
In 67 I believe that rings 1 & 3 each had 3 elephants (to make 11)
Not easy to tell from this photo but the rings were covered in shavings that Tommy Clark dyed in burlap bags Ring 2 was always red
67 was the following year to the Art Concello whirlwind enrichment
