Walrus Antje, Hagenbeck’s Stellingen Zoological Garden

Antje was acquired on Nov 10, 1976 and died on July 17, 2003, after 26years and 8 months at the zoo - -the world longevity record for captive walrus. She also had the all time longest tusks of any captive walrus.

She was acquired through the central Soviet Russia animal dealership in Moscow.
